Fashion houses are treating fragrance as a serious extension of their identity, not a licensing afterthought. The most convincing launches carry the brand’s codes into the rituals of daily life. Bottega Veneta has taken this idea further than most. Instead of borrowing from its ready-to-wear vocabulary, the house has built its newest fragrance accessories from the material it is best known for, the Intrecciato weave.
The Bottega Veneta Alta fragrance collection, launched in June, now sits alongside a new group of handcrafted leather goods and accessories. Together they bring the house’s craft into the same space as its scents, so a bottle becomes something you carry rather than something you keep on a shelf.
Perfume Holder Cut to Every Bottle
The centrepiece is a perfume holder in Intrecciato piccolo calfskin, tailored to the 50ml and 100ml bottles. The 10ml format receives a charm version instead, so the smallest bottle can hang from a bag or a set of keys. Each holder comes in five shades. The charm adds a sixth, Basil green, which is available only in that format.
Each piece follows the same logic as the fragrance. The weave is visible and tactile, and the leather wraps the glass without hiding its shape. It reads less like packaging and more like a deliberate pairing, the way a well-chosen bag and a fragrance share a mood.
Pouches and a Sculptural Hair Comb
Geometric cosmetic pouches bring the same intricate leatherwork to travel and daily routines. They come in a range of sizes and two colours, which makes them the most practical part of the range. A pouch for the bag and a holder for the bottle now belong to one visual language.
The Sardine hair comb is the most unexpected object in the group. It interprets the sculptural fish form in gold-finished steel and attaches to a leather lanyard. It is small, sculptural and intentionally playful, and it shows how far the house is willing to push the idea of accessories that carry the brand’s craft.
The Intrecciato Duo in Fragrance
The ten Eau de Parfum expressions in the Alta collection translate the weave into scent through a concept the house calls the “Intrecciato duo.” Each fragrance pairs an ingredient from Italy with another from elsewhere in the world, so the composition itself is woven from two places.
Always Now meets fresh Italian basil with Madagascan vetiver. Montebello brings together Italian citrus and North African neroli. Ricordami pairs the nostalgic notes of stracciatella ice cream with grounding oakwood. Each fragrance is built on two threads, and the accessories are designed to carry them into everyday use.
Where the Bottle Meets the Bag
The campaign images make the connection visible. In one frame, the Moment After bottle stands in front of a sage-green Intrecciato bag, its wooden cap and gold collar echoing the hardware on the handles. In another, Montebello sits on a dark chocolate bag beside a pair of gold-framed sunglasses, the bottle’s faceted glass catching the same light as the leather. A third shows the bottle lying across a surface crowded with burgundy and black bags, a looser composition that makes the weave the real subject.
That consistency is the point. The house is not asking customers to choose between a bag and a fragrance. It is offering a single aesthetic that moves from the handbag to the vanity to the travel pouch.
Craft in Motion, Available Selectively
Bottega Veneta describes the philosophy behind the range as Craft in Motion, bringing the art of fragrance into the rhythm of everyday life and travel. The accessories are available exclusively in selected Bottega Veneta stores and online, which keeps them within the house’s controlled retail network rather than spreading them across department store counters.

For readers who already own a Bottega Veneta bag, the collection offers a new way to carry a fragrance. For those who know the house only through its leather, it is a clear invitation to see how the weave shapes its scent.
