Starface, the skincare brand known for reimagining blemish care with playful design, is officially entering the fashion space. The brand’s debut crossover arrives through a limited-edition collaboration with Heaven by Marc Jacobs, bringing together skincare functionality and fashion’s rebellious streak. The partnership launches with a campaign featuring Grimes, Lil Uzi Vert, beabadoobee, and BB Trickz, each captured in passport-style portraits with the new tattoo-inspired pimple patches.
SKINCARE
The centerpiece of the drop is a “Big Yellow” Compact that contains 32 patches in bold new shapes. Each patch mimics tattoo motifs, including a winking star face, a miniature clothespin, and a classic “mom” tattoo rendered in Starface’s signature graphic style. Beyond aesthetics, the hydrocolloid patches still serve their original purpose: to absorb excess fluid, protect inflamed skin from bacteria, and accelerate healing. The result is a collision of skincare and visual identity, where treating a breakout becomes a creative act.
The campaign’s casting plays into that same spirit of individuality. Grimes, no stranger to sci-fi-inspired self-expression, poses with bleached eyebrows and graphic stickers placed like accessories. Lil Uzi Vert, who’s already known for face jewels and tattoos, integrates the patches seamlessly into his look. Beabadoobee’s moody glam meets BB Trickz’s off-kilter humor, rounding out a group that embodies the chaotic charm of Gen Z beauty.
Starface’s decision to team up with Heaven feels like a natural progression, considering both brands champion youth culture, DIY aesthetics, and irreverent design. Previous Starface collaborations with Glossier, Hello Kitty, and SpongeBob have proven the brand’s ability to adapt across subcultures, but this new venture marks its most stylistically ambitious move yet. The tattoo collection transforms skincare into a wearable accessory, and in doing so, asks why healing can’t be expressive too.
Available now on Starface’s website, the Heaven x Starface Tattoo Compact retails for $15 USD, while the patch bundle with a refill goes for $25 USD. Given the brand’s history of quick sell-outs, this drop is expected to follow suit. Whether you wear the patches for skincare or for show, the message is the same: acne care can be loud, graphic, and unapologetically fun.
