Italian musician Wax stars in MMSCENE Magazine’s December 2025 digital cover story, captured by photographer Marco Fornasiero. The shoot’s styling comes through LaDécadanse Studio with pieces from Dsquared2 and KVRT STVFF, while grooming by Luigi Iacono shapes a refined finish. D.O.P. Fabio Bottiroli adds a cinematic layer that supports the tone of the editorial. Alongside the imagery, Wax sits down with our Editor-in-Chief Zarko Davinic for an exclusive interview.
EXCLUSIVES
In the interview, Wax reflects on the way he is described as a multi-faceted singer-songwriter. He engages with the label on his own terms, accepting its accuracy while keeping distance from the idea of full interpretation. He prefers to let others form their impressions without expecting deeper understanding, a position that shapes how he presents himself publicly.
Looking back on his experience in Amici 22, Wax identifies the period as one that sharpened his sense of direction. The environment taught him the value of holding onto his ideas with clarity and discipline, and that approach continues to guide his decision-making as he moves through new stages of work.
Songwriting functions as a way for him to preserve personal moments. Each track marks a specific point in his life he wants to retain, and “7 VITE” connects to a meaningful memory set within a difficult situation involving a friend. His approach extends to visual work as well, as seen in “BASTA CHE TORNI A CASA,” a project he developed with a close circle of collaborators who supported the creation of the video from beginning to end.
Inside the studio, Wax works without trying to manage the balance between intimacy and reach. He follows direction instinctively and separates that freedom from the structure he looks for in his daily routine. His connection with listeners remains steady; he maintains boundaries around his private life while staying engaged with fans to understand how his music affects them.
Wax draws influence from a wide range of sounds depending on the moment, and he treats fashion as a practical tool that helps him shift into the mindset required for performing or being photographed. His writing often returns to his childhood home, a place that continues to hold the elements he draws from creatively. For grounding, he turns to family, boxing, and the presence of love.
