Gap teams up with Summer Fridays for a 20-piece collaboration that introduces Summer Fridays’ first apparel designs through soft seasonal essentials. The collection arrives with a focus on comfort, familiar silhouettes, and the rituals that shape time spent indoors. Summer Fridays brings its Southern California minimalism into conversation with Gap’s well-known approach to soft textures and relaxed design, forming a set of pieces built for quiet evenings, slow mornings, and gift-ready moments.

The collaboration draws inspiration from the idea of staying in. Soft knits, fleece sets, matching pajamas, and a range of accessories anchor the release, forming a concise wardrobe suited for unwinding. The palette reflects tones associated with Summer Fridays products, such as Jet Lag Mask, Moisturizer, Pink Sugar, Cherry, and Vanilla. These colors move across cloud-soft sweaters, pointelle sets, flannel poplin pajamas, and easy layers designed for winter routines. Accessories include headbands and socks ready for holiday gifting, with a five-pack of headbands and a three-pack of socks positioned as simple, thoughtful additions to the season.

The on-set campaign features actress Barbie Ferreira, whose grounded energy shapes the tone of the visuals. She describes her preferred night in as a combination of a home-cooked meal, spicy tea, old movies, and time with her animals. The campaign uses these sentiments as cues for how the collection functions: clothing that fits into relaxed pauses, group gatherings, or nights set aside for rest.

Co-founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland situate the collaboration within Summer Fridays’ ongoing aim to shape mood and daily rhythm. They describe the project as an extension of the brand’s interest in self-care and the atmosphere surrounding it. Gap Chief Marketing Officer Faby Torres echoes this perspective, framing the collection as a reflection of the season’s intimate moments.

The pieces follow a structure designed for mix-and-match wear. Knits pair with fleece crewnecks, pointelle sets layer under sweaters, and flannel pajamas shift from evening to morning without complication. Poplin sets arrive in stripes, hearts, and polka dots, offering simple pattern play across light silhouettes. The fleece items continue Gap’s signature approach to soft texture, while the knitwear pulls from Summer Fridays’ relaxed tonal language. Prices range from $28 to $98, making the collection accessible for gifting or personal use.
