Acqua di Parma expands its Signatures of the Sun collection with “Gelsomino a Freddo,” a fragrance shaped by the ancient cold enfleurage technique. The eau de parfum captures the essence of freshly harvested jasmine blossoms through a delicate 48-hour extraction process that preserves the flower’s most subtle facets. Each cycle gently transfers the aroma onto purified shea butter, producing an olfactory profile that feels both luminous and deeply textured.

The scent unfolds with Italian lemon, pink pepper, and artemisia, setting a sparkling tone before giving way to its heart. At the core lies the jasmine enfleurage, enriched with smoky black tea and orris concrete. The base brings depth with guaiac wood, cypriol, and patchouli essence, creating a composition that contrasts floral radiance with earthy undertones. Perfumer Daphne Bugey notes that the challenge was “balancing these contrasting elements while elevating the jasmine enfleurage extraction” and finding “the middle ground between the floral and woody elements of the composition” to maintain a versatile, gender-neutral character.
The design mirrors the refinement of the scent itself. Presented in Acqua di Parma’s updated Signatures of the Sun bottle, the perfume appears in a transparent flacon with an enlarged hatbox and a refreshed label. The house continues its tradition of blending contemporary craftsmanship with Italian elegance, reaffirming the cultural weight of artisanal perfumery.
Alongside the eau de parfum, Acqua di Parma introduces complementary rituals to enrich the line. These include Zafferano Hand and Body Wash, a Body Cream, 200-gram candles, and a 180 ml diffuser. Together, they extend the sensory narrative of “Gelsomino a Freddo” beyond fragrance, translating its essence into daily touchpoints of care and atmosphere.
With this release, Acqua di Parma reinforces the vision of Signatures of the Sun as a collection dedicated to rare ingredients and artisanal techniques. By resurrecting cold enfleurage, a method largely lost to time, the house positions “Gelsomino a Freddo” as both an homage to heritage and a forward-looking fragrance built for modern wear.
The new fragrance and accompanying products will soon be available through Acqua di Parma boutiques and selected retailers.
