Mads Mikkelsen Stars in Zegna MEMORIE Fragrance Campaign

Six scents trace the life and vision of founder Ermenegildo Zegna through places, objects, and landscapes.

Zegna presents MEMORIE, a new fragrance collection built around six perfumes that interpret moments connected to the life and vision of founder Ermenegildo Zegna. The collection transforms memories of place, work, and landscape into scent, translating more than a century of history into a sequence of olfactory chapters. To accompany the launch, Zegna introduces a cinematic campaign starring Mads Mikkelsen, written by Roman Coppola and set inside Casa Zegna in Oasi Zegna.

FRAGRANCES

The name MEMORIE takes inspiration from the Italian word for memories. Zegna approaches memory as an experience that continues to evolve through time. Each fragrance reflects a specific place, object, or moment connected to the founder’s life, forming a narrative that unfolds from early ideas to landscapes that shaped the brand’s development in the Italian Alps.

Three perfumers created the six compositions. Dominique Ropion, Fabrice Pellegrin, and Quentin Bisch each interpreted different chapters of the founder’s story through scent. Their fragrances translate daily rituals, natural environments, and moments of reflection into structured olfactory expressions.

The first fragrance, Il Calamaio, created by Dominique Ropion, draws inspiration from the inkwell where ideas began to take shape. The composition reflects the quiet moment when Ermenegildo Zegna sat at his desk overlooking the wool mill. Ink accord, Turkish rose absolute, and oud create a leathery amber structure that represents the beginning of creation.

Il Lanificio, composed by Fabrice Pellegrin, focuses on the wool mill where raw fibers transformed into fabric. The scent captures the atmosphere of the factory where the smell of wool mixed with the rhythm of machines. Vanilla Tahitensis, suede accord, and sandalwood form a vanilla suede composition that reflects material and craft.

Quentin Bisch created A Trivero, the third fragrance in the series. Inspired by the town in Piedmont where the Zegna story began, the scent captures the moment of departure as Ermenegildo Zegna drives toward the surrounding Alpine landscape. Lavender, rose damascena, and myrrh create an aromatic fougère that reflects movement and mountain air.

The collection continues with Il Sottobosco and La Panoramica, fragrances that draw inspiration from the natural environment surrounding Oasi Zegna. Pink pepper, carrot seed, and patchouli evoke the scent of forest after rain in Il Sottobosco, while pine needles, French lavender, and Haitian vetiver shape the fresh fougère structure of La Panoramica.

The final fragrance, Saga del Piemonte, closes the narrative with a scent inspired by evening gatherings and shared stories. Coffee accord, ratafia, and Virginia cedarwood form a woody gourmand composition that reflects warmth and continuity.

Each perfume appears in a refined glass bottle finished with soft gradient tones inspired by the emotional landscape of each scent. An ash wood cap engraved with the Zegna family crest completes the design. The bottles follow a refillable structure intended to extend the life of the fragrance.

The campaign film starring Mads Mikkelsen introduces the collection through a contemplative narrative set inside Casa Zegna. Guided by a miniature car that moves through six connected environments, the film translates the themes of memory, movement, and imagination that shape the MEMORIE collection.

MEMORIE became available starting February 5, 2026 in selected Zegna locations and on zegna.com in the UK and Middle East, followed by a global rollout beginning March 5.
