Glossier brings Balm Dotcom to New York City through a limited-edition capsule created with the New York State Division of Tourism. The release introduces a clear, apple-flavored I Love NY Balm Dotcom alongside clothing, accessories and small collectible items connected to the brand’s home city.

The collaboration arrives ahead of the 50th anniversary of the I Love NY logo. Graphic designer Milton Glaser created the original design in 1977 and first drew it during a cab ride. Glossier uses that familiar emblem as the foundation for a capsule that links the company’s New York roots with one of the city’s most recognizable visual symbols.
The I Love NY Balm Dotcom leads the release. Glossier gives its cult-favorite lip balm a clear finish and an apple flavor that directly references New York’s Big Apple nickname. The product keeps the familiar Balm Dotcom format and introduces a city-focused identity through its flavor and design.
A series of travel-friendly merchandise accompanies the balm. The Applebaby Patch features a miniature New York character that wearers can attach to hoodies, tote bags and other fabric items. The Applebaby Keychain turns the same figure into a small companion for keys or bags.
Glossier designed the merchandise as a collection that can travel with its owner. The patch, keychain and sticker fit easily into everyday routines, while the T-shirt and baseball cap carry the graphics into complete looks.
The Big Apple Cotton Tee adds the main clothing piece to the collection. Glossier places its “You Look Good” phrase on the front and prints a vintage-inspired store address across the back. Glossier also includes the Big Apple Sticker and Flagship Baseball Cap. Apple details and updated typography link both items to the rest of the capsule.
The project reflects the role New York has played in Glossier’s identity. According to the company, the city shaped the brand and continues to influence its direction. Glossier now sells the I Love NY Balm Dotcom and the complete merchandise capsule through its website.
