Glossier introduces Skylight, a new liquid highlighter designed to deliver buildable glow and hydration without streaks, tackiness, or visible glitter. The brand describes it as a “skin-loving liquid highlighter for pearlescent radiance,” developed to enhance natural skin tone and texture with light-catching shimmer and a smooth, cushiony finish.
MAKEUP
Skylight arrives in six distinct shades, each created with what Glossier calls Complexion-Inspired Micro Pearls. These extra-fine reflective particles replace heavy shimmer with dimensional glow. Lunar offers a white gold base with golden pearl. Prism comes in rose gold with silver pearl. Starry adds gold tones with a champagne-peach finish. Sunlit leans bronze with golden pearl. Glimmer brings copper with golden peach. Gaze finishes the lineup with deep bronze and red pearl.
The product uses a gellified serum base, designed to create a crystal-clear, gel-like texture that smooths the appearance of uneven skin. This base supports the shimmer particles while holding the product in place, even through humidity or sweat. The formula includes hyaluronic acid and copolymers to provide hydration and grip, keeping the glow even and long-lasting.
According to Glossier, Skylight delivers up to 12 hours of wear and 24 hours of hydration, based on clinical testing. The texture avoids common problems found in liquid highlighters. It applies without streaks, doesn’t feel sticky, and resists buildup, even when layered. The finish remains flexible, giving users control over intensity.
Each tube includes a built-in applicator designed for easy placement. Glossier recommends dotting the product directly onto the high points of the face, cheekbones, brow bones, or the bridge of the nose. From there, you can blend it out using fingertips to control the finish. For a brighter effect, Skylight can also work at the inner corners of the eyes or along the collarbones for added sheen.
The product allows for layering over other complexion formulas, but Glossier also positions it as effective on bare skin. One dot creates a subtle effect, while more product builds to higher impact.
Skylight now retails for $24 and is available online and in-store at Glossier and Sephora. The product joins Glossier’s growing complexion category, offering a flexible option for those who prefer controlled glow without exaggerated shimmer.
