VIOLETTE_FR introduces two new shades to its Lip Nectar Hydrating Lip Stain collection. The additions expand the range with richly saturated tones inspired by nature at its most dramatic, when light intensifies, shadows deepen, and color grows more concentrated.

LIPS

Lip Nectar was developed to challenge expectations around traditional lip stains. Its oil-in-water emulsion delivers high-shine, long-wear pigment while maintaining hydration. The formula applies smoothly and creates a nectar-like texture that leaves lips soft and supple. The stain lasts up to eight hours without feeling sticky or dry.

Amarante Noire, or Black Amaranth, marks the deepest shade in the Lip Nectar lineup. Inspired by the dramatic amaranth flower, the color combines aubergine, purple, blackberry, and cool red tones into a layered burgundy finish. The hue builds with application, shifting according to skin tone. On darker complexions, it reads as a deep red. On fairer skin, it appears as a wine-plum.

“People often think of nature as light and joyful, but I wanted to honor its storms and shadows too,” says Violette. “Amaranth is such a powerful, sculptural flower – almost animal-like in shape. The color is dark and intense, but still alive, still glowing. Recreating that balance in this shade was very important to me.”

Souci d’Automne, or Autumn Marigold, draws from an heirloom marigold flower. The shade builds from warm terracotta into a burnt-sienna red. It delivers a saturated swipe that feels sunlit and earthy, with undertones that deepen through layering. The tone suits warm skin particularly well, intensifying with each application.

“Souci is a sun-following flower – it opens with the light,” Violette explains. “This shade feels like the last fire of summer, when the days are still warm but the nights start to cool. It’s luminous, and very sensual.”

The two shades reflect moments of transition, from winter into spring and from late summer into early fall. They explore the point at which warmth meets shadow and color takes on greater depth.

Developed over several years, the clinically proven stain addresses common issues associated with water-based lip stains, which often provide pigment without hydration. Lip Nectar relies on color-binding technology within a water-based structure designed to maintain comfort.

At the core of the formula sits an advanced oil-in-water emulsion. Microscopic oil droplets disperse within water to create a lighter finish. Upon application, the stain penetrates beneath the lipid layer of the lips. Ingredients such as squalane, shea butter, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid remain suspended within the water base. These components form a protective layer that supports moisture retention.

More than one-third of the formula consists of ultra-nourishing ingredients, delivering hydration commonly associated with oil-based products while maintaining saturated color payoff. Amarante Noire and Souci d’Automne will be available online starting February 19, 2026, priced at €34.
