Sol de Janeiro Brings Its Beauty Rituals to Women’s Soccer

Sol de Janeiro becomes Washington Spirit’s official body care partner, connecting beauty routines with confidence on the field.

Sol de Janeiro enters women’s soccer through a new multi-year partnership with Washington Spirit, becoming the club’s official body care partner across the 2026-28 seasons. The collaboration brings the beauty brand into the team’s matchday world through locker room rituals, fan activations, content, product sampling and athlete-inspired limited-edition drops.

Known for body care and fragrance products rooted in Brazilian energy, Sol de Janeiro will now connect its rituals to the club’s pregame routine. The brand will appear first in the locker room, where players will use its body care and fragrance products before taking the pitch. The partnership builds a link between beauty and performance through confidence, self-expression and the private routines that shape how athletes prepare.

Sol de Janeiro will also appear on the warmup top for all away games, giving the brand a visible place within the club’s season. The partnership extends from player preparation to fan experience, with in-stadium moments designed to bring beauty into the rhythm of the match. The Sol de Janeiro Celebration Cam will turn each goal into a high-energy, shareable moment, while immersive activations and sampling will bring the brand directly to fans.

Doug Vinci, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, described the partnership as an important moment for the club and its supporters. He pointed to a clear connection between both organizations through confidence, self-expression and a full embrace of individuality. Vinci said the partnership will reach many points of the matchday experience, from players’ pregame time in the locker room to in-stadium moments and community work.

The collaboration will include a “My Matchday Rituals” content series. The series will look at how players use self-care and personal style to build confidence on and off the field. The partnership will also reshape player arrivals, placing fashion, beauty and preparation into a more visible part of matchday.

The fan-facing program adds product moments, exclusive drops and stadium activations to the matchday calendar. Sol de Janeiro and the club will also work beyond game day through clinics and confidence-focused programming for young athletes. These initiatives aim to help the next generation feel strong in their bodies and bring their full personality onto the pitch.

Jordan Saxemard, Chief Executive Officer at Sol de Janeiro, said the brand felt excited to enter soccer, a sport closely tied to Brazilian identity, with Washington Spirit. Saxemard described the partnership as a project about joy, confidence and community, while pointing to the role of women’s soccer in shaping a growing cultural space. She said Sol de Janeiro wants to show how beauty can appear across daily life, including sport.

The partnership gives both sides a shared platform for beauty, sport and self-expression. It treats body care as part of preparation, identity and the live experience of the game.
