CHANEL presented the Cruise 2026.27 show in Biarritz last Tuesday with a beauty look centered on fresh skin, a sun-kissed complexion, and feathered eyelids. The makeup direction kept the face luminous and natural, while the eye look introduced the show’s most distinctive detail: feathers created by CHANEL and applied across the eyelids as a special runway element.
MAKEUP
The beauty team prepared the skin with SUBLIMAGE L’Extrait de Nuit, smoothing a small amount across the cheeks, forehead, and neck from the center of the face outward. On the neck, the application followed the jawline. SUBLIMAGE La Crème Texture Universelle followed, paired with Le Geste Sublime Radiance, a massage technique that uses bent fingers in wide circular movements from the center of the face outward.
The skincare ritual continued with SUBLIMAGE L’Extrait Huile Lèvres, used during the day for added comfort on the lips. Its golden metal applicator fits the lip shape and delivers a precise amount of product. SUBLIMAGE La Brume completed the preparation, applied under or over makeup. The mist was sprayed on each side of the face and across the forehead, then pressed in with closed hands using the knuckles in light upward motions from the center outward.
For complexion, CHANEL used LES BEIGES Water-Fresh Complexion Touch with the 2-in-1 Foundation Brush Fluid and Powder N°101. The product created a fresh base while keeping the skin visible. ULTRA LE TEINT Le Correcteur corrected imperfections where needed, applied with the Retractable Dual-Ended Concealer Brush N°105.
Warmth came through LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream, applied beneath the cheekbones and worked along the hollow of the cheek from the inner face outward. The Retractable Kabuki Brush N°108 helped shape the bronzed effect. For luminosity, the artists used BAUME ESSENTIEL in Sculpting or Scintillement, depending on skin tone. They picked up a small amount with a brush or fingertips, then tapped it onto the tops of the cheekbones for a fresh glow.
The eye look carried the show piece. BAUME ESSENTIEL Sculpting went across the mobile eyelid, first tapped in with fingers, then worked with the Contour Shader Brush N°203. CHANEL feathers were then placed over the eyelids, adding a crafted detail to the otherwise natural makeup direction.
Brows stayed defined and lifted. STYLO SOURCILS Haute Précision refined the brow line, followed by upward brushing. Lips received ROUGE COCO FLASH in 280 Sweet, applied directly from the bullet in a single motion.
