MAC Cosmetics has partnered with global ambassador Doja Cat to release a limited-edition lip kit inspired by her viral red lip from the 2025 VMAs. The collaboration translates a widely recognized beauty moment into a focused product offering rooted in Doja Cat’s personal routine.
LIPS
The kit draws directly from the products Doja Cat wore on the VMAs red carpet. It includes MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger, Lip Pencil in Cherry, and Lipglass Air in Talented. Doja Cat describes the red lip as a constant in her visual language. She explains that the color gives her a sense of confidence and remains a look she returns to regularly.
Alongside the product launch, MAC places Doja Cat at the center of a broader brand moment. She appears on the cover of MACzine, the brand’s social-first platform focused on creativity within beauty. The appearance marks the relaunch of MACzine, which returns a decade after its initial debut as a space for visual experimentation and cultural exchange.
MAC’s global creative director Nicola Formichetti leads the relaunch, describing MACzine as a creative playground where the brand previously tested ideas and explored new forms of expression. The platform’s return aligns with the Doja Cat collaboration, positioning her as the first cover star of the updated format.
Through this collaboration, MAC aligns product development with digital storytelling and artist partnership. The Doja Cat Lip Kit retails for $52 USD and is available through the brand’s website. The set carries a stated value of $75, positioning it as a bundled offering built around three core products.
