Rare Beauty has revealed its first-ever brand collaboration, teaming up with Tajín for a limited-edition cheek and lip set. The partnership draws from the bold chile pepper hues the Mexican seasoning is known for, pairing them with Rare Beauty’s focus on accessible beauty and confident expression. Together, they created two exclusive shades: a new version of the viral Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and a fresh addition to the Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss line.

The blush arrives in the shade “Chamoy,” a deep red brown influenced by the popular Mexican sauce made from dried fruit. True to the original Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, it delivers a dewy finish with high-impact pigment that remains lightweight on the skin. For lips, the new gloss “Clásico” reflects the essence of Tajín’s signature seasoning. The shade is a rich terracotta accented with copper and gold shimmer, formulated to hydrate while leaving a luminous glass-like shine.
Founder Selena Gomez drew inspiration from her own Mexican heritage when envisioning the project. She described the collaboration as an expression of culture and community, designed to spark joy through bold shades that recall the energy of Tajín’s signature flavors. By linking Rare Beauty’s best-selling formulas to the spice’s vibrant character, Gomez set out to create a collection that resonates with shared traditions while expanding the brand’s color offerings.
The partnership extends beyond makeup. Rare Beauty will donate to the National School of Ceramics, an institution Tajín co-founded to support the work of Mexican ceramic artists. Alongside this initiative, Rare Beauty maintains its pledge of contributing one percent of sales to the Rare Impact Fund, which promotes mental health resources for young people. For this campaign, the company will also provide funding to Latinx Therapy, an organization working to normalize conversations about mental health in Latinx communities.
The set retails for $30 USD and is available now on Rare Beauty’s website. It features two full-size exclusives packaged together at a $45 value. Both products are vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, dermatologist tested, and suitable for sensitive skin. Rare Beauty emphasizes that the blush layers easily with other formulas while maintaining its airy texture, while the gloss provides immediate hydration along with long-term conditioning benefits.
