Lily Aldridge for BVLGARI The New Serpenti Collection

Discover Bvlgari’s 2018 Serpenti campaign starring supermodel Lily Aldridge, a brand’s muse since 2016. Shot by fashion photographer, Sølve Sundsbø, the campaign displays Italian femininity: sophisticated and refined, bold and colourful, voluptuous and seductive.

In the 1960s, Serpenti established itself as a jewellery icon with colourful, enameled snake-inspired necklaces and watches, ensnaring the hearts of collectors and luxury lovers. Like a snake molts, Serpenti has since shed its enamel scales to reveal the current Serpenti: a treasure showcasing the ultimate opulence, a luxurious skin of pavé diamonds and white gold.

This year, the new version as seen on supermodel Lily Aldridge in Bvlgari’s 2018 campaign, boasts piercing emerald eyes, a nod to the collection’s colourful roots. Like the previous iterations, the emerald-accented Serpenti is the culmination of Bvlgari’s singular and celebrated artistry: the snake’s scales, neatly nestled into one another and carefully hinged together. The method, known as Tubolare, gives each piece the life-like pliability of a snake, so it can wrap itself sinuously around you, just like how the animal itself would. The spellbinding, green eyes – whether in the new Tubolare necklace, bracelet, ring, pendant or earrings – make the jeweled creature all the more captivating and intensify the allure of its wearer.

The Serpenti Viper, launched last year, sees an extension in the collection with bracelets and pendant necklaces bearing the same chic, perfectly-symmetrical pattern – making it ideal for everyday wear. The bracelets, like the rings, are designed to be layered on. With eight different designs, the range gives you endless options to customize your stack. Layered, the bangles sheath your arm in a captivating, snake-like skin but subtly so: just as the viper camouflages itself and lays in wait, the jewellery’s snakeskin motif is soft and understated.

The Serpenti collection, as multi-faceted as its legion of female fans, is also introducing ethereal and breathtaking pink gold and pavé snake faces, bold emerald and sapphire studded pieces, and earrings designed to abstractly capture snakeskin in colourful splash of amethyst, citrine and peridot. – from Bvlgari
