Byredo continues to explore the boundaries of scent and design with the launch of Infra Luna 2.0, its second collaborative lamp developed with French designer Benoit Lalloz. Building on the success of the original release, the new edition refines the concept of a scent diffuser that operates without a flame. Instead, the lamp uses targeted heat to disperse fragrance from Byredo’s signature candles, offering a quieter, more ambient ritual.
FRAGRANCES
Like its predecessor, Infra Luna 2.0 features a halogen bulb suspended above a base that cradles the brand’s smoked black glass votives. This design allows the candle’s fragrance to be released through heat alone, bypassing combustion entirely.

New for this version are expanded colorways and subtle aesthetic upgrades. Working closely with Byredo Founder and Creative Director Ben Gorham, Lalloz introduced a pink-toned finish inspired by the iridescent surfaces of insect wings. The new edition features a matching colorful cord, bringing a delicate visual contrast to the industrial structure of the lamp. The original aluminum version with a green cord also returns as part of the permanent Byredo Byproduct line.

Lalloz described the object’s quiet presence, recalling nights in the studio when its glow and scent would fill the space like a memory in motion. “It orchestrates a harmony of sensations that resonate with those who are open to it,” he reflected.

The lamp’s steep price point, about $2,700 USD, reflects its positioning as a collectible object rather than a mass-produced home accessory. Each lamp becomes part of a ritual, inviting users to interact with fragrance in a slower, more intentional way. It also reflects Byredo’s growing interest in objects that go beyond beauty, forming part of a broader design narrative.
