Creative Director Nicola Formichetti describes the collaboration as a meeting of two influential forces in beauty retail and culture. He explains that the campaign highlights the full scope of MAC’s aesthetic, moving from understated everyday looks to high-impact glam. Chappell Roan appears in a softer visual direction that contrasts with her theatrical stage persona, emphasizing versatility as a defining element of the brand’s approach.
Each featured talent wears a distinct lip combination built from MAC’s core products. For Chappell Roan, makeup artist Andrew Dahling layered Lip Pencil in Auburn and Stripdown before applying the MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Marrakesh and Taupe. The finished result presents a warm-toned, dimensional lip that reflects the campaign’s focus on personalization.
Gabbriette’s look explores cooler tonal contrast through Lip Pencil in Greige, paired with the MACximal Sleek Satin Lipstick in Fleshpot and Lipglass Air in Accolade. The combination creates a sculpted, muted finish that aligns with her understated aesthetic. Quen Blackwell’s lip features Lip Pencil in Chestnut, MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Whirl, and Lipglass in Clear, introducing depth and shine through layered texture.
The Sephora debut expands MAC’s retail presence while reinforcing its reputation for customizable beauty. By centering the campaign on lip combinations tailored to individual expression, the brand emphasizes the role of makeup as both personal ritual and creative tool.
