For the 2025 holiday season, Chanel turns its gaze to the cosmos with a collection shaped by radiance and mystery. Drawing inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s fascination with astrology, the Holiday 2025 Makeup and Fragrance Collections reinterpret her cherished talismans: the lion, camellia, comet, wheat, and pearls, through shimmering tones and luminous textures. Developed by the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio in collaboration with Cécile Paravina of the Comètes Collective, this year’s vision captures the duality of night and light, of endings that give way to new beginnings.
A Constellation of Color and Light
The makeup line unfolds like a constellation of color, with every piece designed to evoke the hypnotic beauty of a starry sky. Les Signes de Chanel, two duos of blush and highlighter, veil the complexion in soft, satiny light. Rose Lumière pairs a cool pink blush with a pearly pink highlighter, while Pêche Lumière combines orangewood warmth with golden reflection. Each compact is embossed with Chanel’s five symbolic emblems, creating a celestial pattern of light across the surface.
Eyes take on cosmic depth through Les 4 Ombres Nuit Astrale, a palette of blue-grey, lavender, and shimmery purple tones balanced by an aqua blue highlighter. The gaze is intensified with Liner de Chanel in Flamboyant and Écarlate, metallic orange and red shades that trace the eyes like shooting stars. Finishing the look, Noir Allure mascara in deep blue-grey enhances definition and adds subtle luminosity.
Lips become the focal point of warmth and radiance. Rouge Allure Velvet introduces two limited edition shades, Abstrait, an intense rosewood, and Rouge Vie, a redwood tone, each offering a soft, luminous matte finish. For a more reflective texture, Rouge Allure Laque appears in Incandescent, a magenta pink with volcanic undertones, and Nébuleuse, a deep crimson purple with pearly shimmer. Completing the collection, Le Vernis captures the energy of molten metal through two vivid shades: Cosmique, a slate blue, and Alchimiste, a metallized orange that mirrors the glow of fire and ice.
Scents Written in the Stars
The Holiday 2025 Fragrance Collection continues Chanel’s celestial narrative through scent. The five emblems that shaped the house’s mythology: the lion, camellia, comet, wheat, and pearls, illuminate a constellation of limited edition creations designed to reflect strength, luck, harmony, prosperity, and radiance.
N°5 The White Gold Body Oil wraps the skin in the sensual floral notes of N°5, infused with shimmering white-gold particles for luminosity and softness. Coco Mademoiselle Pearly Body Oil offers a satiny texture and diffuses its signature blend of orange, jasmine, rose, and patchouli. Both oils are presented in 250 ml glass bottles, revealing the luminous particles within.
Chanel also revisits its signature scents in exclusive seasonal designs. N°5 Eau de Parfum, Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum, and Chance Eau Splendide Eau de Parfum appear in pearly white sleeves with gold and silver detailing, while Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum and Allure Homme Sport Eau de Toilette arrive in deep blue sleeves enhanced with metallic accents.
These collections form Chanel’s holiday constellation, an exploration of radiance, depth, and the infinite beauty of light in motion. They reflect a dialogue between the cosmos and creation, translating starlight into color and fragrance.
