Diptyque introduces “Lazulio” Eau de Parfum as the final chapter of its Les Essences de Diptyque collection. The fragrance draws inspiration from the iridescence of peacock feathers and pays tribute to the crystalline beauty of lapis lazuli.

Perfumer Quentin Bisch composed “Lazulio” to reflect contrasts in texture and color. The fragrance opens with sparkling rhubarb, immediately fresh and vibrant. Benzoin adds creamy warmth with its balsamic facets, creating a rounded structure that softens the sharp edges of rhubarb. Haitian vetiver then brings wood and citrus brightness, anchoring the fragrance with depth. A touch of rose lifts the composition, echoing the shifting hues of the peacock feather that inspired the scent.

Diptyque emphasizes its focus on responsible sourcing within this release. The benzoin resin in “Lazulio” comes from Laos, where local communities harvest it under environmental standards set by the brand. This partnership reflects Diptyque’s transparent approach to working with suppliers, ensuring sustainable practices remain central to production.

Visual presentation carries equal importance. The perfume arrives in the collection’s signature oval bottle, engraved like a jewel window that hints at the scent’s iridescence. To complement the fragrance, artist Nigel Peake created watercolor artwork inspired by the peacock feather, rendered in hypnotic shades of blue. This detail adds an artistic dimension that reinforces the connection between natural inspiration and crafted design.

Diptyque also integrates sustainability into the packaging. The refillable glass bottle reflects the Maison’s eco-conscious ethos, while the outer sleeve uses recyclable materials. Each element supports the company’s ongoing work to reduce environmental impact without compromising design.

“Lazulio” completes the Les Essences de Diptyque series with a release that feels both elegant and deliberate. Its structure balances vibrancy with warmth, freshness with depth, always guided by the imagery of peacock feathers and lapis lazuli. The fragrance stands as an invitation to experience color, texture, and refinement through scent. Available in 100ml for $340 USD, “Lazulio” now extends Diptyque’s legacy with a perfume that honors artistry while affirming responsibility.
