Rabanne expands its gold universe with Million Gold for Her Parfum, led by Gigi Hadid as the face of the fragrance. Following the 2024 launch of Million Gold for Her Eau de Parfum, the Maison advances the concept through a richer composition designed to intensify presence after dark, shifting the focus toward warmth, density, and nocturnal energy.
FRAGRANCES
The original Eau de Parfum introduced Rabanne’s first grand floral, structured around white flowers, sparkling rose, and mineral musk. That composition established a new direction for the brand, defined by confidence and radiance. Million Gold for Her Parfum takes this framework further by introducing a woody dimension that grounds the fragrance and intensifies its character. Rabanne positions the Parfum within the imagined world of the “Million Club,” a space defined by heat, rhythm, and command of the night.
Gigi Hadid embodies this direction as the ambassador of Million Gold. Her association with the fragrance reflects Rabanne’s focus on self-expression and confidence.
The bottle design mirrors the Parfum’s intensified profile. Rabanne’s multi-faceted Million Gold bottle takes on a subtle smoky glaze that reflects the fragrance’s deeper tone. The oversized XL link remains the defining feature, embedded in the Maison’s couture language. Inspired by boat chains from Brittany, the XL link has evolved across seasons into a symbol associated with confidence and success.
Rabanne presents Million Gold for Her Parfum in refillable formats, allowing the bottle to remain in use beyond its initial cycle. A 200ml refill replenishes the 50ml and 90ml bottles.
The fragrance unfolds through a clear progression. Sparkling mandarin opens the composition with brightness before giving way to the floral heart. Jasmine “Coeur de saison” absolute, harvested at peak season, reveals apricot and orange flower facets, while ylang ylang adds warmth and solar depth. In the drydown, sandalwood “Drèches” absolute takes focus. Extracted from upcycled white sandalwood, it introduces roasted coffee, caramel, and chocolate nuances that define the Parfum’s signature warmth.
The scent was created by perfumers Aliénor Massenet, Suzy Le Helley, Nathalie Benareau, and Loc Dong, the same team behind the original Eau de Parfum and the Pure Jasmine variation.
Hadid’s role extends into the visual campaign. In a film directed by Manu Cossu and photographed by Mert Alas, she appears alone on the dance floor, dressed in a gold Rabanne look set with Swarovski crystals and finished with the XL link necklace. The scene centers on control and focus, underscored by a soundtrack that references Beyoncé’s lyric, “It should cost a billion to look this good.”
