Anne Hathaway continues her relationship with SHISEIDO Vital Perfection through the new Intensive SculptDefine Serum, the latest addition to the line and a new focus within the brand’s lifting skincare category. Hathaway has previously supported Vital Perfection as a global ambassador, helping drive the line’s visibility internationally.

SHISEIDO developed the serum using its research into visible facial sagging, with a formula designed to improve firmness and definition. The formula targets the face and neck, with a focus on cheek sagging, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and neck wrinkles.
The brand positions the product as a sculpting serum designed to improve the appearance of facial contours and create a firmer, more defined look over time. In a one-week clinical test involving 33 women, SHISEIDO reported visible improvement in cheek sagging, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and neck wrinkles among all participants.
The formula centers on D-AminoLift Complex, developed through SHISEIDO’s research into D-amino acids and facial sagging. According to the brand, the complex helps support skin strength and definition, while Watercress Extract supports the skin’s natural collagen for improved firmness. SHISEIDO also includes 4MSK, its brightening ingredient, to address the appearance of dark spots, uneven tone and dullness.
The serum carries a smooth, dewy texture and suits all skin types. SHISEIDO recommends using three pumps over the face and neck, followed by an upward pressing and lifting motion along the sides of the face.
SHISEIDO reports up to 24 hours of hydration based on a clinical hydration study involving 25 women. The serum also carries dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic claims.
For Hathaway, the product extends her association with Vital Perfection into one of the line’s newest launches. The focus remains on visible definition through regular skincare use, with the serum designed for both morning and evening routines.
