The latest DSCENE Beauty digital cover story “Last Call at 54,” photographed by Thomas Chimney, is a visual homage to beauty as performance, bold, sculptural, and steeped in the glamour of late-1970s New York. Model Moon Choi steps into the frame with a presence that anchors the series, as makeup artist Roshar shapes each look with a balance of memory and futurism, hair artist Lorenzo Diaz crafts distinctive silhouettes, and stylist Kara Erwin frames the narrative in pieces from Alexis Bittar, Ruko B, Wolford, Ce Le Nom, and Mrs. Momma Bear. Creative producer Marte Díaz guides the production, with retouching by Mari Mikhnova.
EXCLUSIVES
Conceived as a beauty story imagined in the afterglow of New York, 1979, the series moves through an atmosphere where desire defined the night. Beauty here is spectacle, inspired by late-night icons who shifted between high elegance and underground reinvention. Pigment becomes declaration, shimmer replaces shadow, and skin becomes stage.
