Los Angeles and a legendary studio at nightfall are the perfect backdrop for Chanel Los Angeles show prepared for the latest Cruise 2024 collection. Together, fashion and cinema take us into a waking dream, fueled by an energetic urge to jump into the spotlight and never leave the dance floor. The time has come for the Cruise 2023/24 collection to reveal the many colorful, joyous, and sophisticated sides of its world. The decades take centre stage while grinning from ear to ear, beginning with the glitz of the 1920s and 1930s and moving through the rhythm of the 1970s and 1980s.

And what is Los Angeles without celebrities! Thus Chanel had a striking guest list to celebrate it’s cruise voyage to the west coast. Joining Chanel and the fashion industry for the show were Chanel ambassadors Margot Robbie, Kristen Stewart, Sofia Coppola, Marion Cotillard, Lucy Boynton, Sebastien Tellier, and G-Dragon. Joining the LA celeb team at Chanel are also Paris Hilton, Lil Nas, H.E.R. supermodel Soo Joo Park, singer Kim Petras, and Issa Rae to name a few.

This time it is all about the collective imagination as the history and codes of CHANEL join the dance. Rhinestone-covered mini-shorts and jumpsuits, embroidered bustier and little tank tops, 1960s-inspired suits, bathrobes and casual pyjamas, 1930s-style shoes and their disco variations, crêpe de chine and terrycloth, swimsuits, wrap-around tops, legwarmers, and evening dresses are all examples of this. A surge of vigor is written in a multicoloured palette precisely harmonized between the timeless House colours, pastel colors and new flashy tones. Beyond the distinctive white and black, there are shades of pink – so dear to the Artistic Director – as well as gold, evoking cinema’s halcyon age, its empress-like actresses, the bright lights of the projectors that spotlight them and the eternal Californian sunlight.
