1. Giselle Bündchen

Giselle Bündchen might be almost 40, but she hardly looks a day over 25. The Brazilian supermodel shared one of her simplest skincare secrets with Elle magazine, explaining, “my complexion is delicate, so I have to use things that won’t irritate it. I switch moisturizers often, but I’m faithful to the way I take off my makeup: Lancôme’s pink foaming cleanser.”

Giselle’s choice to remove her makeup with a foaming cleanser may be a big contributor to her youthful skin. Why? Studies have shown that neglecting to remove your makeup properly before bed can expose your skin to more free radicals, which are responsible for breaking down the collagen in your skin and causing fine lines. Creamy, lathering cleansers are great for removing oils and hard to wash off cosmetics, which are often favored by camera-ready celebs.

When asked for any further beauty tips she’s picked up during her time in the industry, Giselle reminded readers “[lip] gloss will keep your lips from appearing dehydrated” and give you a perfectly kissable pout.

2. Elena Matei

With breath-taking blue eyes and long, flowing blonde hair, Eastern-European model Elena Matei, is sure to have some spot-on skincare tips to achieve youthful, radiant skin. During a recent interview with Beauty & Well-Being, modest Matei suggested that less is more, explaining, “when I wake up, I use a great toner, vitamin C and sunscreen. Most days, I prefer to be natural and not wear makeup.”

Research strongly supports Elena’s love of vitamin C, as vitamin C is known to accelerate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This, in turn, keeps your skin looking supple and firm and fights against the signs of aging. Applied topically, vitamin C can also drastically reduce melanin production, which helps to prevent skin discoloration, like hyperpigmentation.

3. Adriana Lima

Another impossibly gorgeous celeb with hair and skincare secrets to spill is Brazilian model, Adriana Lima. Adriana explained in an interview for Into the Gloss, “my skin care is pretty normal – [my dermatologist] has his own line of products and everything is natural.”

Other than advocating for organic skincare products without harmful additives, Lima swears by a haircare tradition from her native Brazil to keep her locks lustrous, “[we] take our conditioner or hair mask and mix it with avocado and put that in our hair for a treatment. It leaves your hair super shiny…”

It might sound weird, but this unusual beauty hack makes perfect sense, as avocado is filled with biotin, which promotes strong hair and nails. Vitamins B and E also help to protect your hair and scalp from dullness and dryness.

And there you have it: three simple, model-endorsed tricks to add to your beauty routine. We’ll try anything once if it makes us look anything like the lovely ladies above.
