Louis Vuitton presented its Women’s Spring Summer 2027 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière at the Cour Carrée du Louvre in Paris, bringing together an extensive guest list from film, music and fashion. The presentation introduced Ergonomie, a collection built around the relationship between clothing, the body and movement, with Ghesquière focusing on lightness, fluid construction and garments designed to respond to physical motion.

Inside the Cour Carrée du Louvre, Ghesquière presented a collection shaped by ergonomics and the idea that clothing should follow the body rather than impose a fixed external form. The designer developed garments around movement, allowing fabrics and construction to react to changing posture and physical activity.

Ultralight materials played a major role throughout the season. Double and triple composite chiffons, carré silks and scarf fabrics in silk and cashmere appeared across the collection, while traditional tailoring underwent a process of reduction. Internal layers disappeared, giving structured garments a lighter physical presence. Knitwear followed the body closely, while footwear added greater weight beneath the fluid silhouettes.

The collection also explored changing surface tensions and flexible construction. Pieces that appeared almost structureless relied on complex engineering underneath, allowing cloth and leather to sit against the body and respond to motion. Ghesquière treated anatomy as part of the design process, building shapes that shifted according to the wearer.

The Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2027 presentation placed that focus on movement within one of Paris’s most recognizable settings. With its broad guest list, Fine Jewellery appearances and Ghesquière’s latest collection, the show brought fashion, celebrity and the house’s wider creative universe together at the Louvre.
