Chanel introduces Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and House Ambassador Gracie Abrams as the face of its 2026 campaign. Olivier Polge created the new intense ambery fragrance as a magnetic impulse that can shift the mood of a moment, awaken the senses, and encourage personal discovery.

FRAGRANCES

The fragrance develops through fruity, floral, woody, and ambery accords. Grapefruit and lychee open the composition with brightness and energy. Rose and jasmine shape the floral center, while patchouli gives the scent depth and density. Vanilla notes and vetiver complete the formula with warmth and sensuality.

Polge designed Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu as a personal fragrance that reveals itself through the person who wears it. He describes the scent as an affirmation of the self and imagines it following every movement, desire, and risk. The fragrance aims to create an emotional response through intensity, surprise, and attraction.

The composition continues the Coco Mademoiselle identity while moving toward greater richness. Fruity notes lead into a denser woody and ambery structure, giving the fragrance an opulent character. Chanel presents the result as modern, voluptuous, and direct.

The Coco Mademoiselle line began in 2001 when Jacques Polge created the original fragrance. Chanel developed the collection around the vitality, freedom, and independence that Gabrielle Chanel represented. Crush Absolu extends that idea through a more intense interpretation that centers on emotion, confidence, and self-expression.

The bottle gives the launch a distinct visual identity. Chanel uses a contrasting label and a faceted cap to create a sharper, more graphic presentation. The design reflects the fragrance’s concentrated character and separates Crush Absolu from earlier versions within the Coco Mademoiselle collection.

Abrams brings the fragrance’s themes into the campaign through her direct creative voice and independent attitude. Chanel connects her with Gabrielle Chanel through instinct, movement, and a refusal to follow fixed expectations. Abrams views her appointment with pride and identifies with Coco Mademoiselle’s ability to leave a lasting impression wherever she goes.

Her role keeps the campaign focused on a woman who defines her own direction. Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Head of Global Creative Resources Fragrance and Beauty, describes Abrams as lively, refined, and free from artifice. He sees her as someone who arrives where people least expect her and continues to create her own path.
