Zoe Saldaña has joined Lancôme as a global ambassador, marking a new chapter in the brand’s ongoing work with a wide range of women across generations. The Academy Award-winning actor enters a group that includes Christy Turlington, Julia Roberts, and more. Her appointment connects her public presence with Lancôme’s direction, which centers on optimism, personal growth, and a direct approach to beauty.

Saldaña addressed the importance of representing women across different stages of life, framing her role within a broader shift in how beauty gets defined. “I like the broadening of the narrative of what it means to be a woman – a full, whole woman – in every different stage of her life,” she said, adding that being part of a group that includes Christy Turlington reinforces a sense of connection and shared perspective. She also pointed to Lancôme’s position on aging, noting that growth, experience, and maturity carry value that deserves visibility.

Her connection to the brand traces back to early exposure to its campaigns, where she recalls a natural and composed image of beauty. Over time, her relationship with products has changed alongside her skin. She describes this shift as a process that requires attention and awareness, rather than dependence. Loyalty, for her, comes through consistency once a product proves its place within that routine.

Mascara remains central in that approach. Saldaña has consistently turned to Lancôme within this category, adjusting her choices as her needs evolved. She referenced Lash Idôle Curl Goddess Mascara as a current favorite, pointing to its ability to lift and add volume while working with her lashes as they are now.

She describes beauty as something that develops through time, shaped by personal decisions and gradual change. This process extends beyond products into how one presents and defines themselves. Trying new directions, whether through appearance or expression, forms part of that ongoing shift, which she sees as something that becomes clearer with experience.

Owning one’s sense of beauty stands as a central idea in her perspective. She connects this to confidence built through lived experience and awareness of personal direction. This view aligns with Lancôme’s focus on optimism as an active position, one that encourages engagement and openness toward others.

Lancôme global brand president Vania Lacascade described Saldaña as an actress defined by both scale and substance, pointing to her ability to work across cultures and generations while maintaining a grounded identity. Lacascade linked this presence to the brand’s approach, which frames optimism as a deliberate way of engaging with the world.

Saldaña will first appear as the face of Intercept, part of Lancôme’s Absolue Longevity MD line, a range built around Longevity Integrative Science and its focus on improving the visible signs of skin’s biological age.
