YSL Beauty introduces Libre Santal Couture, a limited-edition fragrance that gives the Libre line a woodier direction. Dua Lipa fronts the campaign for the new release, which keeps the familiar pairing of French lavender and Moroccan orange blossom while placing New Caledonian sandalwood at the center of the composition.
FRAGRANCES
Libre Santal Couture develops the line’s aromatic-floral identity through a drier, woodier composition. French Diva lavender and Moroccan orange blossom retain the recognizable Libre signature, while New Caledonian sandalwood gives the fragrance its creamy, textured base. Citrus brings brightness, with geranium, juniper and cedarwood adding green, peppery and dry aromatic facets that push the scent toward a more polished, slightly masculine direction.
YSL Beauty describes the fragrance through the idea of “untamed freedom,” connecting its woody profile with the broader Libre identity. The limited edition focuses that idea through texture and material, using sandalwood as the primary point of distinction.
The bottle receives a corresponding update. YSL Beauty presents the familiar Libre flacon in glossy couture brown, creating a darker visual treatment that reflects the sandalwood direction of the fragrance. A golden Cassandre logo contrasts with the brown surface, while the asymmetric open sides retain the recognizable structure of the Libre bottle.
With Dua Lipa continuing as the advertising face, Libre Santal Couture presents a new interpretation of the line through sandalwood and aromatic woods. The limited edition keeps lavender and orange blossom recognizable within the formula while allowing a drier, creamier and more aromatic structure to define the fragrance.
