MAC Cosmetics introduces Jayden James as the latest face of its relaunched digital publication, MACzine. The 19-year-old son of Britney Spears appears in a new editorial centered on the brand’s Fix+ setting spray, marking another fashion and beauty project for the Los Angeles-based musician following his recent runway debut.

Photographer Sarah Pardini captures James in a series of pared-back portraits featuring black leather, tank tops and blue surroundings. Hunter Clem handles styling, with grooming by Gilbert Soliz and hair by Kelli Martin. The images place Fix+ directly within the editorial, presenting James with the product as MAC introduces him as one of its new generation of creative personalities.
The project follows James’ first runway appearance during Paris Fashion Week, where he walked for Vetements alongside his brother Sean Preston. Speaking to MACzine about the experience, James recalls concentrating on staying calm as he stepped onto the runway. He also names model Francisco Lachowski as an influence on his growing interest in fashion, explaining that seeing Lachowski through social media encouraged him to explore the industry himself.
Fashion forms only one part of James’ creative work. MAC introduces him as a musician and model, while James identifies music as another central focus. He plays piano and continues to develop his work as a musician alongside his increasing presence in fashion. The combination places him within the multi-disciplinary group of emerging talent that MACzine aims to document.
Fix+ becomes the beauty connection throughout the feature. James tells MACzine that he keeps his skincare routine simple and credits his girlfriend with helping him manage it. His routine includes face wash, moisturizer and facial spray. He says he uses Fix+ when his skin feels dry, after cleansing or following an intense workout when he wants to cool down. He also points to the product’s scent as the first thing he noticed when he started using it.
MAC describes Fix+ as an alcohol-free multitasking setting spray that hydrates, primes, sets and refreshes the skin. The brand also offers several variations within the line, including Fix+ Stay Over 24HR Setting Spray, Fix+ Matte 24HR Alcohol-Free Setting Spray and Fix+ Magic Radiance.
James’ feature arrives as MAC brings MACzine back as a digital platform for beauty, fashion and creative culture. Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti describes the original publication as a space where the company experimented with ideas and explored different forms of self-expression. Its return comes as MAC places renewed attention on expressive makeup and creative personalities.
