D.S. & Durga introduces Rose Pacific, a limited-edition fragrance that expands the brand’s roses-by-the-sea idea through a West Coast lens. The scent takes the familiar structure of Rose Atlantic and shifts it toward California. Rose Atlantic evokes summer in New England with pink salt spray and roses along the Atlantic coast. Rose Pacific moves toward Pacific spray, sun-soaked apricot and avocado trees, California poppy, warm fine sand, and a softer fruit-driven character.

FRAGRANCES

The new scent carries a fruitier, greener, and sweeter profile than Rose Atlantic. D.S. & Durga frames Rose Pacific as a laid-back Cali rose, shaped by the Pacific coast and the flora surrounding it. The fragrance opens with Pacific spray, Persian lime, and apricot, creating a bright introduction with a marine edge and ripe fruit. The heart brings fruity rose, California poppy, and avocado, giving the scent its floral and green center. Peach, fine sand, and vanilla musk form the base, adding warmth and softness to the composition.

Rose Pacific comes from D.S. & Durga’s ongoing interest in expanding the settings behind its perfumes. Perfumer and co-founder David Seth Moltz describes Rose Atlantic as a story of summer in New England, built around pink salt spray roses by the Atlantic coast. With Rose Pacific, he and Kavi Moltz turn toward California and the grand Pacific as sources of inspiration. As East Coast founders, they approach the West Coast through its sea, cities, mountains, architecture, history, and plant life, giving their sea rose a different set of textures.

The perfume keeps the rose-by-the-sea idea central while changing its temperature and mood. Rose Pacific feels sunnier and more relaxed than its East Coast counterpart, with apricot, avocado, poppy, peach, and vanilla musk giving the scent a softer sweetness. The marine opening keeps the fragrance connected to the coast, while the fruit and green notes push it toward California.

To mark the launch, D.S. & Durga introduces Perfume Clubbing, a month-long run of fragrance gatherings in New York and Los Angeles. Founders David and Kavi Moltz host the series with collaborators and friends of the brand. The format takes inspiration from the rise of perfume clubs in cities such as New York and London, where scent becomes part of a social setting built around conversation, music, and shared discovery.

The series moves between New York and Los Angeles throughout June, opening on June 3 at NY Mulberry with David Seth Moltz. It continues on June 11 at LA Abbott Kinney with artist Leah Tinari, followed by a June 18 gathering at NY North 6th with Substacker and author Erika Veurink. The final event takes place on June 25 at LA Silverlake with creative marketer and founder Apphia Rayne Rose.
