Louis Vuitton continues its creative dialogue with Alex Israel through Woody Wagon Colognes, an exceptional gift set that brings the Maison’s Parfums de Cologne collection into the world of Californian mythology. The project reunites the French house with the Los Angeles artist, whose work has shaped the visual identity of the collection since 2019. Known for his vivid interpretation of the West Coast, Israel brings the colors, light and attitude of Los Angeles into a fragrance object conceived between art, design and perfume.

The set contains six Louis Vuitton Colognes, presented inside a miniature reinterpretation of the Woody Wagon. Long associated with Californian surf culture, family road trips and the open road, the car becomes a sculptural object through Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship. Its wooden paneling, vintage references and playful spirit connect directly to the collection’s vision of California as a place of movement, sun, water and escape.

Produced in a limited edition of 66 pieces, a reference to Route 66, Woody Wagon Colognes reflects a high level of artisanal detail. The object required the work of 60 artisans and more than 7,000 hours of craftsmanship. Each of its 219 elements was conceived and assembled with precision, from the roof and wooden doors engraved with the Monogram motif to wheels decorated with Monogram flowers. Semi-aged leather in natural beige and mahogany woods add warmth and texture, linking vintage Californian design with Louis Vuitton’s contemporary codes.

Inside, the six Colognes create a colorful portrait of California through scent. The Woody Wagon functions as more than packaging. It becomes a miniature landscape, a collectible object and a sensory invitation into the world created by Louis Vuitton Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and Alex Israel. The set places fragrance inside a broader story of travel, freedom and visual culture.

Alongside the Woody Wagon, Louis Vuitton introduces limited edition travel cases for three Colognes: Sun Song, California Dream and Afternoon Swim. Crafted in translucent resin, each case uses a color gradient inspired by Californian light. The Monogram motif appears across the surface, while the transparency allows the fragrance bottle to become part of the visual effect.

The Sun Song travel case moves from bright yellow to incandescent orange, echoing the warmth of summer sun. California Dream shifts from translucent pink to sky blue, recalling the atmosphere of a West Coast sunset. Afternoon Swim takes on oceanic tones, moving from azure to deep blue in a reflection of water, freshness and movement.

With Woody Wagon Colognes, Louis Vuitton and Alex Israel turn fragrance into an object of travel and memory. The project captures California through scent, color and craft, transforming the Cologne collection into a road trip across the Maison’s imagination.
