Pandora joins Dame Pat McGrath for a 17-piece jewelry collection inspired directly by the makeup artist’s approach to color, light and transformation. Launching globally on October 8, the range translates elements from McGrath’s beauty vocabulary into charms, rings, earrings and medallions.
JEWELRY
Color provides the foundation. Red and purple appear alongside silver and gold, while crystals bring the reflective finish associated with McGrath’s runway work. Pandora creative directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli developed the collection around the transformative power of color, working with materials to create surfaces with greater depth and texture.
McGrath approaches makeup and jewelry through the same creative instinct. Throughout her career, she has worked with pigment, glitter, crystals and metallic effects directly on the body. The Pandora project transfers those familiar elements into objects designed for everyday wear.
Lips become one of the collection’s recurring motifs. The Lips of Love appears as rings, mini charms and dangle charms, while the Red Lip Dangle Charm pushes the motif into a larger format. Several lip designs conceal ombré enamel hearts, giving the exterior form an additional detail inside. Pandora’s official lineup also includes the Beating Heart Oversized Dangle Charm, Hand of Love designs and the Mystic Eye Lab-grown Diamond Dangle Charm.
Beauty products supply another direct reference. The Tube of Beauty appears as both a dangle charm and drop earring, turning a familiar makeup object into jewelry. Medallions introduce McGrath’s language into the range through designs including the Mother of Beauty Medallion, Beauty Mantra Medallion and its oversized version. The pieces reference expressions associated with McGrath, known throughout the fashion industry as “Mother.”
Pandora designed the collection for layering across chains, hoops and bracelets. Different metal finishes can appear together, while repeated colors allow wearers to build tonal combinations.
Sølve Sundsbø photographed the campaign accompanying the Pandora project, with Ava Shipp, Chiharu Okunugi, Ali Dansky and Alton Mason appearing in the images. Emma Wyman styled the campaign.
