Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato reunite for Rare Beauty‘s latest campaign, “Still Making Each Other Blush,” bringing their friendship of nearly 25 years into a new beauty collaboration. The campaign revisits their Disney Channel years, recreating familiar moments from their early careers while introducing a limited-edition makeup set featuring their favourite shades of the brand’s best-selling Soft Pinch Liquid Blush.

Gomez and Lovato first met as children while working on Barney & Friends, years before they became Disney Channel stars. Gomez went on to lead Wizards of Waverly Place, while Lovato starred in Camp Rock and Sonny with a Chance. Their friendship became particularly familiar to young audiences through their informal YouTube videos and their 2009 Disney Channel movie, Princess Protection Program.

Rare Beauty draws directly from those memories for the new campaign. In one photograph, Gomez and Lovato recreate the Princess Protection Program promotional poster, wearing colourful gowns and tiaras while posing on vintage suitcases. The image references their characters, Carter Mason and Princess Rosalinda, and brings a familiar moment from their Disney careers into the present.

Another campaign video revisits the homemade YouTube content they created as teenagers. Inside a pink bedroom setting, the pair dance, laugh, experiment with makeup and answer questions in a format inspired by their original videos. They also revisit “One and the Same,” their duet from Princess Protection Program.

The reunion carries particular significance for Lovato, who recalls their childhood friendship and the experiences they shared before their careers developed. “Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood, so being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment,” Lovato said.

The singer also explained that working together brought back memories of filming YouTube videos in their bedrooms and experimenting with makeup. Gomez described the experience as an opportunity to acknowledge their shared history and appreciate their relationship today.

Their collaboration introduces the Delena Soft Pinch Blush Bundle, which takes its name from the nickname fans created for the two stars. The limited-edition set features two full-size versions of Rare Beauty’s popular liquid blush, selected according to their personal preferences.

Gomez chooses Hope, a nude mauve shade with a dewy finish, while Lovato selects Virtue, a beige peach with the same finish. Both offer the blendable, highly pigmented formula that helped establish Soft Pinch Liquid Blush as one of Rare Beauty’s signature products.

The bundle also includes the Soft Pinch Blush Brush, which complements the liquid formula and allows users to apply and diffuse the colour. Lovato has expressed her appreciation for the blush since Gomez launched Rare Beauty, giving the collaboration a personal connection to the brand’s existing product line.
