MCM introduces Cozy Cat Eau de Parfum as the newest character in its animal inspired fragrance collection. The launch marks the first addition to the line and extends its playful cast through a feline figure associated with curiosity, instinct and independence.
FRAGRANCES
Cozy Cat draws on the contrasting qualities often linked to cats, from grace and softness to unpredictability and rebellion. MCM uses these characteristics to shape a fragrance centered on freedom, confidence and individual expression.
Dirk Schönberger, MCM’s Global Chief Brand Officer, describes the cat as a natural next character for the collection. Its independent nature supports the wider fragrance universe, where each animal carries a distinct personality and gives customers another point of connection with the line.
The bottle continues the design language established by the previous releases. A sculptural feline character crowns the flacon and turns the cap into a collectible object. Golden accents introduce a polished finish, while MCM’s signature Visetos pattern connects the bottle with the brand’s wider visual identity.

Cozy Cat joins Mighty Bear, Jolly Rabbit, Charming Pup, Darling Doxie, Daring Dragon and Zen Elephant. The characters create a growing group within the MCM fragrance collection, with each release pairing a different animal personality with its own scent profile and bottle design.
Principal perfumer Clément Gavarry of dsm-firmenich created Cozy Cat as a woody floral Eau de Parfum. The fragrance opens with violet leaves, wildberry, peach and black rose. These notes introduce fruit, green facets and a darker floral tone from the first spray.
Suede, benzoin and ambrette form the middle. Suede gives the composition a soft, textured quality, while benzoin adds warmth. Ambrette brings a musky character that links the floral opening with the deeper base.

Sandalwood, tonka bean, cedarwood, labdanum, musks and vanilla bean shape the drydown. The combination develops a warm, woody finish with resinous and sweet elements. Cedarwood gives the base an earthy structure, while vanilla bean and tonka bean add softness. Labdanum and musks deepen the final stage and support the scent’s nocturnal mood.
Gavarry wanted the fragrance to express freedom through dark rose, suede and cedar. He used these materials to explore the relationship between softness, confidence and instinct, creating a scent that changes from a fruit and floral opening into a warm woody base.
