Chanel names Jacob Elordi as the new face of Bleu de Chanel, positioning the actor within the brand’s fragrance universe through a campaign shaped by image and film. The decision places a recognizable figure at the center of a scent that holds strong global visibility, aligning the fragrance with a contemporary presence that resonates across audiences. The campaign will debut in May, continuing Chanel’s approach to linking fragrance with cinematic storytelling.
FRAGRANCES
Elordi has gained wide recognition through roles in Euphoria, Frankenstein, and Wuthering Heights, where his performances rely on control and physical presence. That same quality informs his place within the Bleu de Chanel campaign. His image carries a sense of precision that aligns with the fragrance’s direction, presenting a version of masculinity built on restraint and focus.
Thomas du Pré, Chanel’s head of global creative resources for fragrance and beauty, points to this alignment as a key factor in the casting. “I have been following Jacob Elordi’s career for several years, since Euphoria,” he says. “He perfectly embodies Bleu de Chanel, expressing freedom, mystery, magnetism, and a masculinity that blends modernity with a certain classic elegance.”
The collaboration builds on an earlier connection between Elordi and Chanel. He previously appeared in See You at 5, a film tied to Chanel No. 5, alongside Margot Robbie. That project introduced him to the brand’s process of shaping fragrance through narrative and casting. Du Pré described that moment as a starting point that led to further conversations and eventually to this campaign.
Elordi speaks to the significance of joining Chanel’s lineage of collaborators. “The filmmakers and actors who have collaborated with the house before me are people I deeply respect and admire,” he notes. “Being able to become part of this story is an honor.”
