VIOLETTE_FR introduces Plume Eyeshadow, marking the second chapter in the Plume Trilogy. Conceived by Violette, the product focuses on a softer approach to eye makeup, drawing from a vision shaped by French cinema and an understated approach to beauty. The formula responds to a desire for a lived-in eye look, where color sits lightly on the skin and application remains intuitive.
EYESHADOWS
The product arrives in two finishes, Feather Matte and Feather Shimmer. The cream-to-powder formula balances pigment with a controlled payoff, allowing color to appear as a soft layer. The texture supports direct use with fingers, translating Violette’s approach into a simplified method that removes the need for tools.
Plume Eyeshadow is available in eight shades divided between matte and shimmer. The Feather Matte range includes Lait au Café, a beige-brown tone with warm rose notes; Charbon Fumé, a deep charcoal with cool undertones; Bois Brûlé, a burnt-wood brown with taupe and grey; and Pluie Violette, a muted violet shaped by mauve and cool pink tones.
The Feather Shimmer range introduces Bronze d’Or, a bronze with olive and grey tones enriched with copper and fuchsia pearls; Poussière de Lune, a graphite grey with taupe undertones and mixed pearl accents; Ambre Fumé, a smoky amber layered with rose and copper tones; and Orchidée Céleste, a rose-brown tone infused with copper, pink, and purple pearls.
The formula uses reverse pigment load technology, reducing the density of pigment to create a softer effect. Through an extrusion process, pigment is blended continuously with waxes and emollients, forming a smooth texture that disperses color evenly. Each shadow is housed in a sculptural frosted compact in the brand’s signature blue.
Violette describes the formula as an expression of a personal reference point, shaped by images of women in older French films where makeup appears integrated into the face. This idea informs the entire product, from texture to color and application.
