Tate McRae has entered the fragrance category with TATE 01, her first perfume created in partnership with Scent Beauty, Inc. The launch introduces a personal scent concept built around the idea of fragrance as a second skin, with a formula designed to interact closely with the wearer.

McRae developed TATE 01 with Givaudan perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu. The composition centers on ISO E Super, an ingredient chosen for the way it responds to individual skin chemistry and develops throughout the day. The fragrance opens with bergamot and clary sage before moving into white florals. Amber, tonka bean, sandalwood and soft woods form the base, creating a warm, woody finish.

McRae described fragrance as the final layer in her beauty routine and said she wanted TATE 01 to feel natural, personal and subtly edgy. She also noted that she wears it during rehearsals, where the scent changes as it warms against the body.

Scent Beauty CEO and Founder Stephen Mormoris described the release as the first step in a longer-term fragrance business built around McRae. According to the company, the partnership aims to translate her personal style and creative identity into a dedicated beauty category.

Medina and Maisondieu approached the project with a focus on intimacy, confidence and memorability. Their goal centered on creating a signature scent with enough presence to register clearly while still allowing the wearer’s natural warmth to remain part of the experience.

The packaging continues that idea through a substantial glass bottle influenced by classic perfume silhouettes. The design uses soft curves with a sculptural structure, giving the bottle physical weight and a strong presence in hand. Its shape reflects the contrast between the fragrance’s fluid character and its woody base.

Mario Sorrenti photographed the global campaign, drawing on the mood of 1990s supermodel imagery. The visuals place McRae in natural settings and focus on a direct, sensual presentation that supports the fragrance’s personal character.

TATE 01 launches first through the brand’s own website. The fragrance will then expand through Ulta Beauty in the United States, arriving online on October 16 before entering more than 1,500 stores nationwide on October 25.
