Anastasia Beverly Hills joined Iris Van Herpen in Paris as the official makeup sponsor of the designer’s Haute Couture Fall 2026 show. Titled Sonic Starquakes, the collection looked to sonic vibrating stars, exploding supernovae, spiralling galaxies, plasma turbulence and the invisible forces that connect the human body to the cosmos. The beauty direction followed that same celestial language, turning skin, light and color into part of the collection’s larger universe.

MAKEUP

Lead makeup artist Andrew Gallimore created a series of moon-bathed, pearlescent looks using Anastasia Beverly Hills products. The makeup focused on glowing celestial skin, supernova-like halos at the center of the face and lashes with an otherworldly effect. The result supported Van Herpen’s sculptural couture without competing with it, extending the collection’s ideas of light, vibration and cosmic energy onto the face and body.

“The looks for Iris Van Herpen Couture Fall 2026 were inspired by Iris’ beautiful clothes, their colours and textures, mood and feeling, and indeed her inspirations; all things planetary, light and lightning,” said Gallimore. “I created moon-bathed pearlescent looks. Glowing celestial skin. Supernova halos in the centre of the face and otherworldly lashes. Resulting in a parade of goddesses from another universe!”

For the moonlit skin effect, Gallimore used shade A2 from the HAZE Eyeshadow Palette across the face to create a pearlescent glow. For an alternative champagne shimmer, he used Iced Out Highlighter, fading the product up the limbs to extend the radiance beyond the face. The approach gave the models a luminous finish that echoed the collection’s references to stars, lightning and plasma.

The team also used Impeccable Blurring Second-Skin Foundation for more matte complexion looks. The foundation created a hydrated base that allowed Gallimore to build artistic accents over the skin while keeping the finish refined. For a simpler glowing effect, he placed precise highlights with GLIDR in Pearl, touching the inner corners of the eyes and sweeping the product across the Cupid’s bow.

Lips stayed soft and nude, keeping the focus on light and texture. Gallimore used Kiss Theory Lip Balm in Sugar Coat on paler skin tones and Vellum on deeper skin tones, creating a nourished finish that worked across the cast. Brows shifted depending on the look. Some models had bleached eyebrows for a more alien effect, while others wore groomed brows shaped with Archibrow pencils and set with Brow Freeze Gel.

Color entered through the halo looks. Gallimore mixed teal shades from the Norvina Palette to create a tone that connected with the blue light seen throughout the collection. The effect brought a sharper visual accent to the face, while keeping the makeup within Van Herpen’s wider language of energy, movement and cosmic atmosphere.

The collaboration shows how runway makeup can move beyond surface beauty and become part of a collection’s conceptual structure. Anastasia Beverly Hills provided the tools, while Gallimore translated Iris Van Herpen’s star-filled world into skin that looked illuminated from another dimension.
