Rare Beauty expands its fragrance lineup with Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum, a new fruity floral scent that draws from the idea of starting again. The launch follows the brand’s first Eau de Parfum and introduces a brighter composition built around pear nectar, floral notes and a warm vanilla base.

Selena Gomez describes the fragrance as an expression of possibility. She connects the scent with the idea that each day and each moment can offer a new opportunity. Rare Beginnings translates that outlook through a composition that opens with freshness, develops through a floral center and settles into a sweeter finish.

The fragrance begins with pear nectar and pistachio. These top notes give the opening a crisp and juicy character before the composition moves into gardenia, jasmine and lotus blossom. The middle section adds a fuller floral direction and gives the scent its blooming quality.

Warm vanilla bean, pink sugar and cedarwood form the base. These notes bring sweetness and depth to the final stage of the fragrance. Rare Beauty says the scent lasts for up to 12 hours, allowing the vanilla, sugar and wood notes to remain present after the brighter opening fades.

A fresh green tint gives the fragrance a visual connection to growth and new beginnings. The bottle follows the ergonomic design that Rare Beauty introduced with its first fragrance. Certified hand therapists and packaging engineers helped develop the packaging so users can spray the scent comfortably, including people with dexterity issues. Rare Beauty also says dermatologists tested the formula and confirmed its suitability for sensitive skin.

Rare Beauty created two layering balms to adjust the way the fragrance wears. Fruity Pear adds a fresh and juicy layer, while Sweet Marshmallow adds a soft, creamy note. Wearers can apply either balm with the Eau de Parfum to create a more personal version of the scent.

Gomez explains that the balms allow users to match their fragrance to their mood. She pairs them with Rare Beauty Eau de Parfums to change the scent’s character and add subtle dimension. The format gives users a direct way to emphasize either the fruity opening or the sweeter side of Rare Beginnings.

Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum launches at Sephora on August 7, with early access through the Sephora app on August 6. The release introduces a second fragrance to Rare Beauty’s lineup and expands the collection with two new layering balms.
